Mother Nature

Last weekend I went to Fairfield, Connecticut for my roommates birthday. Every summer she rents a house with a bunch of her friends that is right on the beach. You can almost touch the water from their back patio. At around 3 or 4pm each day the tide goes out and you can walk for miles where water once covered just a few hours earlier. I found these incredible rocks and shells with some type of seaweed grass attached to them. I was drawn to them immediately. I couldn't get over how the seaweed grass and objects attached to the rocks and shells organically in such a way to create a work of art. I collected what I could carry and brought them back to New York with me to photograph. Mother Nature is my hero.
