While in India, I had the opportunity to be a part of a program called Wonderful Workshops held each year at the Diggi Palace in Jaipur. There were lots of workshops to choose from ranging from jewelry making to mud resist (a technique used in block printing for textile design) to miniature painting. Diggi Palace is such a beautiful place. Our class would meet everyday on a terrace where warm light would flood in, monkeys would play and the sweet sounds of Kirtan would play from a temple nearby. At night, the palace held cultural programs where local Indian musicians played their hearts out creating magnificent energy to cultivate us into a realm of creativity and peace.
